They’re responsible for evaluating pipelines and performing tests to ensure the integrity and functionality of pipes. This requires maintaining an excellent knowledge of local, federal and state regulations, inspection codes and safety protocols.
Based on their inspections, pipe inspectors may advise construction professionals on how to build new pipes to avoid damage or repair existing pipes to fix issues or risks.
