RECOMMENDED FOR

  • Working engineers, science degree holders, and ITI diploma holders.
  • Coating applicators, surface preparers, inspection company employees, coating assurance/control inspectors, sales engineers, contractors, and painter employees.

ELIGIBILITY

  • With/without prior welding industry experience.
  • At least 6 months of experience in industrial techniques to apply paint and dry abrasive blast cleaning.

OVERVIEW

The Painting Inspector Grade 2 Course teaches essential topics on paint constituents and technology, paint faults, pipeline site coating negatives, the importance of pipeline surface preparations, colour, drying/curing properties and performance, corrosion theory, surface contaminants, and tests, the importance of surface preparation, practical testing/inspection methods and more on specified painting conditions.
Furthermore, the course includes holiday/pinhole detection, paint application methods, cathodic protection, metal coating, solutions and dispersions, paint film testing, working practices, and health and safety.
