CERTIFIED PROTECTIVE COATING APPLICATOR - INDUSTRIAL GRADE

Duration: 1 Month Class Time: 9am to 5pm

This certification program is designed for project workers employed by the contractor, who wish to obtain knowledge and skills about mechanical as well as abrasive blast cleaning and protective coating application. The training includes the operation of airless spray equipment incorporating the use of a paint simulator and actual hands-on spraying. While using the simulator you will learn the proper technique for airless spray painting by using a program that simulates real life situations and equipment used in the field.

Principles of surface preparations
Hand and tool cleaning methods
Abrasive blast cleaning
High pressure water jet cleaning
Proper spray techniques
Proper mixing techniques
Different methods of painting such as by brush, rollers, conventional and airless spray guns.
A general understanding of corrosion, its causes and remedies.
Different types of paints, their compositions and protective action
Safety and safe working conditions as well as health hazards and their preventive measures.
The course will be inclusive of a week of extensive practical training.
Basic mathematics for fundamental calculations, conversions and quantity survey will also be covered.

Pre-requisite:

The candidate should have cleared at least 10th standard education of any approved examination board in India.
